YMCA Leaders Club is a youth leadership development program designed to empower teens through service, mentorship, and personal growth. Members participate in volunteer work, community engagement, leadership training, and team-building activities — all while forming lifelong friendships and developing strong character. The club fosters responsibility, confidence, and a commitment to making a positive impact both within the YMCA and the broader community. Whether you're passionate about helping others, building leadership skills, or just looking to grow as a person, Leaders Club offers a fun, supportive, and meaningful way to get involved.
Eligibility Age- 12-18 years-old
Rates for the Program- $30 members | $40 non-members
Club Schedule- We will meet every Thursday from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the Teen Center.
Sample Schedule for Leaders Club
Week 1 – Kickoff!
- We’ll start with an introduction of our members and getting to know the awesome peers we’ll be working with.
- Dive into what Leaders Club is all about and what to expect at our meetings.
- Set personal goals for what you’d like to accomplish this year.
Week 2 – Getting Started
- Open with a motivational quote or story to spark inspiration.
- Learn how to earn and track your service hours.
- Jump into a fun leadership activity to build your skills.
- End with time for questions and ideas.
Week 3 – Checking In
- Kick off with another motivational quote or story.
- Quick check-in on service hours and help connecting with the right people if needed.
- Move into a hands-on leadership activity.
- Wrap up with final thoughts and open discussion.
Week 4 – Teamwork & Planning for the Future
- Start with a motivational quote or story.
- Brainstorm fundraising ideas for the year and how to get them rolling.
- Review everyone’s service hour logs—if anyone’s behind, we’ll work together to find opportunities.
- End with reflections and questions.
