YMCA 21st CCLC Before/After and School's Out Programs
What is the 21ST Century Program?
The 21st Century Community Learning Center Program is an academic intervention and enrichment program designed to give students extra support with homework, incorporating enrichment activities such as STEM, physical education, art, cooking, and much more! The program is free for all children. There are no fees associated with the 21st CCLC programs.
School’s Out Camps
Families registered for the 21st CCLC programs will use SignUp Genius to register for School’s Out Camps. Families should only sign up for days that students will attend. Please see the 21st CCLC Program Handbook for specific information about school's out camp registrations. If you need to change your child's sign ups, you may do so anytime using the links provided by the Program Coordinator. YMCA staff are NOT permitted to make changes to these sign ups for you. Any student who is signed up for, and misses, 3 school's out camp dates will be removed from the program.
Eligibility
Students must be enrolled at the designated schools for each 21st Century Program in order to attend. Please refer to the handbook or the registration links for more information regarding school eligibility.

Mountain View Elementary School was selected as a 21st Century Community Learning Center effective from the 2022 school year through 2025. The 21st CCLC program is authorized under Title IV, Part B of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). The program provides before and after-school, and summer school academic enrichment opportunities for children attending low-performing schools to help them meet local and state academic standards in subjects such as reading, mathematics, and science. In addition, programs may provide activities for youth development, drug and violence prevention, art, music, technology, character education, counseling, and recreation to enhance the program's academic components. The program also supports a component for family literacy and community outreach.
In addition to the academic opportunities, another major benefit is that it eliminates any financial barriers by providing childcare FREE of charge to the families in the Mountain View Elementary School district area. In exchange, families and students are required to meet attendance requirements and continuously work to show progress towards achieving academic goals among other things. A contract between student, parent, and the YMCA is required to be signed off on in order to participate.
