Become a Game-Changer—Volunteer Coach at the YMCA!
Inspire the next generation through the power of teamwork and play! As a YMCA Volunteer Coach, you’ll lead one practice and one game each week (just a 2-hour commitment), while helping kids grow in confidence, sportsmanship, and skill. We’re looking for positive role models who are great communicators, committed to their team, and willing to complete a background check and any YMCA-provided training. No coaching experience needed—just bring your energy, encouragement, and passion for making a difference!
Parent Expectations
At the YMCA, we are committed to providing a positive, safe, and supportive environment for all players, families, coaches, and staff. To help us achieve this goal, we ask that all parents and guardians follow the expectations below:
- Remain onsite (at the fields or gyms) during all practices and games, as you are the primary supervisor of your child. This includes accompanying them to the restroom and addressing any individual needs that may arise.
- Support our coaches by allowing them to focus on leading practices and games without interruption.
- Respect our Code of Conduct, which applies to all players, coaches, parents, and spectators. We expect positive behavior, good sportsmanship, and respectful communication at all times. Any form of disruptive, aggressive, or unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.
- Know that YMCA sports staff will be present at all practices and games to support the program and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Your partnership is essential in helping us build a fun and welcoming sports community. Thank you for being a part of the Y!
YMCA Financial Assistance Program
At the YMCA, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to play, grow, and thrive—regardless of their financial situation. That’s why we offer financial assistance for qualifying families, covering up to 50% of program fees. Our Financial Assistance Program is made possible entirely through the generosity of our community, funded by donations to our Annual Giving Campaign. When the community gives, the community grows—ensuring that no child is left on the sidelines.
