The Hickory Foundation YMCA is excited to announce that we will celebrate the 24th Annual Hickory Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
WHEN:
Individual Packet Pickup: Friday, November 22nd
Race Day Registration: 7:00am-8:00am
Youth Fun Run Start Time: 8:30am
10K Start Time: 9:00am
5K Start Time: 9:03am
Awards Ceremony: 11:00am*
To be guaranteed a t-shirt in your size on race day, you must register by November 8th
Packet Pick Up for Teams: Team Leaders will pick up packets on Thursday, November 22
WHERE:
The Youth Fun Run will beheld at the Hickory Foundation YMCA outdoor track. Maps will be provided for the 5K/10K Run/Walk. The Awards Ceremony will be held at the C.O. Miller Teen Center.
RECOGNITION:
OVERALL: A turkey and trophy will be awarded to the top male & female in the 5K & 10K
5K & 10K: Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each gender and age division
A special edition Turkey Trot glass will be awarded to those 20 years and older
The Top Three Male & Female finishers in the following Age Groups will receive a Custom Pint Glass!
20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, *70 +
*Special presentation for the oldest male and female participants in both the 5K and 10K
The Top Three Male & Female finishers in the following Age Groups will receive a medal!
9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19

Youth Fun Run
"Kids will have the opportunity to utilize their strength and agility skills as they climb, jump, crawl, balance, and run through our 1 mile obstacle course. Limited to ages 12 & Under. The course will take place on the track behind the YMCA. The Kids’ Fun Run begins at 8:30. Parents are welcome to join! Bring on the little Turkeys."

Phantom Runner
This “Do It Yourself” event will allow participants to run or walk at any time and any location that is convenient and safe for you and your families. Run a local 5K or 10K route (like the Turkey Trot courses), around the block, on trails,12.5 laps around the track, or even run on a treadmill. You don't even have to live in North Carolina - so please invite friends and family in other states or countries to join the fun.
